Dr. Derek Ochiai is a medical consultant to the Washington Ballet and the team physician for Yorktown High School. He has taught arthroscopic surgery techniques in cadaveric teaching labs over 100 times.
Dr. Derek Ochiai is a graduate with honors from Cornell University. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he received several awards and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. Dr. Ochiai is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.

Hip arthroscopy, also referred to as keyhole or minimally invasive surgery, is a procedure in which a small fiberoptic instrument called an arthroscope is inserted into your hip joint to check for any damage which may be repaired simultaneously.
